So when I first learned about Bible journaling, I made a list of things I wanted to get from the crafts store. Paints, markers, colored pencils, pens, stamps, etc. You could spend a small fortune in a crafts store EASY. I speak from experience. But honestly, all you really need to get started is a good pen. And the Pigma Micron pens are my favorite!
I’ve noticed with some other brands, the ink will bleed and spread out on the paper. Not. A. Fan. But with the Micron pens, the ink stays only where you put the pen to your paper. These pens are the best!
Below you can see the thickness of the following pens respectively: 005, 01, 02, 05, and 08
I tend to write with 02 the most. For smaller details on my page, I’ll use the 005 or 01.
I love this statement, don’t you? Taken from 2 Timothy 3:16 – “All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness…” The Word is the breath of God. Which brings me to another thought and another thing that I love about these pens. They are great for temporary tattoos!
I drew this temporary tattoo one day in carpool with the 01 pen, based on the thought that Jesus BREATHED the Holy Spirit upon His disciples, just as God BREATHED life into Adam and Eve. Also, God told Moses His name is “YWHW”, which are aspirated consonants in Hebrew that, if spoken, are like the sound of BREATHING. Which makes you wonder…. what if the name of God is simply the sound of our breathing? Don’t you love that thought?! So BREATHE. Inhale. Exhale. Say His Holy name. And LIVE by the Spirit!
